Tips on Wonderful Gift Themes for Your Friend’s Baby Shower

It is time for your friend’s baby shower. This is the first of your friends to have a baby and you have absolutely no idea of what to get her and what is actually available for babiesthese days. Baby boutiques and huge baby specific stores are a large industrytoday and can be seen all over America. Places like Babies R Us have computerized baby registries that can be accessed by your computer to get exactly what your pregnant friend may wish for. Several gift givers buy a newborn sized outfit that probably only fits the baby for a week if at all. This will provide you some other unique ideas that will be cherishedby the new parents to be. One idea could be all of the safety devices your child should have when they get a bit older like cabinet locks, a safety rail or safety guardrails to prevent them from falling down stairs or tumbling out of bed.

The first good suggestion would be to come up with a theme for your gift. An example could be bath time. This can be created into a creative gift by having the infant bathtub the “basket” that will hold all of the other supplies needed for baby’s first bath. The infant friendly baby soaps and lotions and a fun hooded towel and washcloths can all be placed into the tub. Wrap it all up in clear paper and tie it with a bow and it will make a great and very useful gift.

Another theme could be centered around eating during outings or traveling. This could be something to get a few others to go in on it with you as well. A collapsible portable high chair to take traveling is something that is inexpensive and a useful thing to have. Some other things to go with the eating theme are disposable bibs that you can toss once dirty while out and about, baby food that is in plastic to go containers and bottles as well. All of the smaller items can also beplaced into the booster high chair to make a fun presentation.

A third theme that could be a necessary item for the expecting parent is a basket focused on safety. This can cover all of the items that are not necessary right away with your newborn but surely will be needed once your child begins crawling and walking. A lot of cabinets and drawers that are reachable by the child should have locks installed. Door knob covers to stop doors from being opened and electrical outlet covers are all good things to put in your safety kit. Perhaps a kid friendly first aid kit would be a great thing to includeas well.

Hopefully some of these ideas will help you in finding a great gift for your friends baby shower and stop you from being overwhelmed when walking into a baby specialty shop with all of the different options. Now it is time to go to the store!
